One of the world's leading wine and spirits groups, Bacardi produces a dozen varieties of rum, selling more than 200 million bottles per year in nearly 200 countries. Other brands include Bombay Sapphire gin, Martini & Rossi vermouth, Dewar's Scotch whisky, DiSaronno Amaretto, and B&B and Benedictine liqueurs. Other drinks by Bacardi include vodka, tequila, cognac, and sparkling wine.

Cyrulean's project with Bacardi involved 2 separate and distinct pieces. The first was to implement a financial planning and analysis system. The second was to integrate a variety of sales and marketing data sources into a complete Sales Analysis system. Finally, the forecasting piece of the sales analysis system had to be integrated with the financial planning system to form the basis for revenue forecasts.

Cyrulean worked closely with internal resources at Bacardi to deliver a variety of systems to meet their analysis and planning requirements. Our recommended analytical systems allowed Bacardi to track new metrics and to measure the performance of different aspects of the business in ways that had not previously been thought of. With the BI solution, Cyrulean helped to support management's requirement to improve measurement and tracking. To meet the changing nature of Bacardi's business, Cyrulean and Bacardi now maintain an ongoing relationship, ensuring that analytical applications are set to provide the best data possible, and to support swift decision-making.
